Chimmini Wildlife Bungalow
Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary in Thrissur is part of the Western Ghats biodiversity corridor and one of the most underrated wildlife destinations in Kerala. The forest bungalow offers accommodation inside the sanctuary with the scenic Chimmini reservoir as a backdrop. Elephant sightings are common on guided trails. The sanctuary is at the junction of several river systems and the riparian forest is exceptionally rich in birdlife. Far fewer tourists visit compared to Wayanad sanctuaries, making every forest walk feel private. Overnight stays are a rare privilege that gives access to dawn and dusk wildlife activity.
