Mathikettan Shola Camp

Mathikettan Shola National Park is a small but extraordinarily rich national park in the Anaimalai Hills complex in Idukki. The forest camp near the park offers accommodation adjacent to pristine shola grassland and forest with four designated hiking trails. The shola ecosystem is home to Nilgiri Langur, Lion-tailed Macaque, and over 200 bird species including many Western Ghats endemics. Compared to the crowded Eravikulam, Mathikettan is visited by very few people — making every nature encounter personal and unhurried.
