Anamudi at 2695m is the highest peak in South India. Summit access is restricted to protect Nilgiri Tahr calving grounds. Eravikulam National Park trails at 2100–2300m offer close views of the peak and the world's largest Nilgiri Tahr population. Park closes February–March annually for calving season. Online ticket booking recommended.
