Vavul Mala at 2339m is Wayanad's second highest peak and one of Kerala's challenging high-altitude treks. The trail climbs through dense tropical forest from Vellarimala Estate. Thick mist and cloud cover create an ethereal atmosphere. The summit plateau offers panoramic views of the Western Ghats. A guide familiar with the unmarked trail is essential.
